I was particularly hit by the loss of MCA (Adam Yauch) of The Beastie Boys. They’re one of if not my favourite listening aids and with his loss it is truly the end of an era.
With all of the different sorts of tributes and quotes going around I have refrained, that is until I saw this on Vimeo this morning. Perfect tribute blending original Beastie lovers with the young generation which I hope will appreciate the incredible talent for many years to come.
Pednvadan Point is a coastguard lookout on the South Coast, opposite Portscatho, Cornwall, UK - I spent an hour or so in different positions on the point shooting photographs freehand on my phone and threw together this stop frame of waves breaking on the rocks.
Just back from a Bank Holiday weekend in Cornwall. UK - went walking along the South Coast National Trust routes and didn’t get rained on at all - a rarity for Cornwall!
Took a couple of cameras with me as usual but these are the shots i got of my iPhone and some of the skies and panoramas I’ve got I’m really pleased with!
Check them out here Flickr - more to come once I’ve got my films finished and processed.
Trafalgar Wharf
Weekend spent with the Parents whilst their boat is out of the water for maintenance at what used to be the Vosper Thorney Croft boat builders yard at the top of Portsmouth Harbour.
Deani-No is the track by South London Skater Laurence Ferguson who happens to be the skating prowess in the video itself. You may have met him around Brixton at the skatepark or serving drinks at the Duke of Edinburgh, This video shot Max Morris-Doherty is from the Artificial Beast album, Back to the womb.
I love the tune and the filming - brilliant light - obviously Laurence has some class moves on the board too.
Absoultely class HipHop/Poem/Words from Mark Gonzales whilst on his UK Tour - shot by Language of Light superbly i might add.
Meaningful words for a world that needs to sit back and think - so this is a bloody good place to start.

Been cruising around my work area in Notting Hill, London with My Diana F+, 120 Format Film - Haven’t used it in a while realised I need to use on a regular basis to keep up the quality.
Been all quiet on the Web based front recently all due to one of the best Ski’s of my life. Progression tends to suddenly step-up a lot every now and then and I’m definitely smashing it up. Such a pity it’s the end of the season!
Anyways gave a big two fingers to the digitalised world of photography again by taking three film cameras. My trusty Nikon Compact 35mm, Nikon SLR and Diana F+ (medium format), I’m yet to have everything developed but heres a taster from the compact bad boy!
My first layer of Tee’s from the Animals - Need to access the positioning and add additional layers, but really happy with results to date
I’ve got the screen printing up and running!
I have to get a few bits and pieces to make my life easier and edition runs smoother not to mention the fact that to do good quality poster prints I’m going to have to invest in a tighter screen.
But it is more positive that negative as I am now in stock of some tees and I will soon be producing the first of Sayle87 clothing that once nailed I will have in short editions for you all to purchase. Watch this space.

I saw this years ago and recently stumbled across it in some notes. Had a little watch and its got some really joy-ess and really heart warming bits in it for probably the music video you’ll see!
@strongislanduk posted this today. A sweet new Zine on skateboarding in Portsmouth from Eugene Noble. I’m completely with the guys, I love the handmade uniqueness of zines and I only wish I was still in Pompey to trawl round all the shops and bars looking to get my hands on one of these!
So it’s 2012 and Ive got a bit of a backup with the blogging so one of my favourite finds from 2011, Zimoun cruising with their cardboard sound installations. Checking their videos of experiments is well well well worth it, even if it is a new year. Zimoun
